Friends…is there a more wonderful thing? I would be hard-pressed to name something. When I think about the best the fictional world has to offer, these are the tops.

Kizzy & Jenks from The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers
Pooh & Piglet from Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne
Beth & Jennifer from Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
Albus & Scorpius from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling & Jack Thorne
Frodo & Sam from The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien
Who are your favorite besties from the stacks?
XOXO
I love the friendship between Harry and Hermione, that’s a classic for me. Also Cinder and Iko from the Lunar Chronicles.
I do love Harry and Hermione, especially in the later books. Such a lovely example of friendship ๐
I completely agree about Pooh & Piglet! They’re a great friendship pairing. From LOTR I’ve always liked Merry and Pippin’s friendship better, though. Sam felt too much like a hireling of Frodo’s to me, and though there was a friendship there it never felt like a friendship of equals.

Yeah, I can definitely see that, and I also COMPLETELY love Merry and Pippin. Hobbit friendship goals for sure ๐
Aww, Kizzy & Jenks are such great friends and their banter is fun. I wouldn’t have thought of Pooh and Piglet but they’re perfect!
Awww Albus + Scorpio.
