When I settle in for some long-haul reading, I have a routine. Kettle goes on for some tea, ottoman and blankey come out of their hiding places and get plunked on my favorite chair, Spotify goes on the TV. Sometimes if I’m feeling extra fancy (or extra prone to distraction), I layer on some Rainy Mood or Ambient Mixer to drown out the often noisy apartment life. Today, I’m sharing my fave playlists for settling in with a book. Requirements: no words and nothing super up-tempo (because I start dancing). The next time you’re looking for some chill concentration, check these babies out.

Acoustic Calm
Atmospheric Calm
Deep Focus
Indie Folk for Focus
Soft Focus
What’s your favorite playlist for background tunes?
XOXO
I have a few Windham Hill sampler albums that I listen to for background music. The ones I like the best are the Winter Solstice ones.

Calming acoustic sounds like something I need in my life, right now. Yes, please.
Soft Focus is one I hadn’t yet listened to it but it’s quite lovely.
