Wow, this was a surprisingly hard topic for me. Not sure if it’s because once I find an author I like, I burn through everything they’ve written, or some other mysterious force at work. Anywho, these are the ten I’m most excited to get to someday from mostly-favorite authors I’ve read in the past.Β
Fantasy Series
Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews
Radiance by Grace Draven
His Majesty’s Dragon by Naomi Novik
Year One by Nora Roberts
Lord of the Fading Lands by C.L. Wilson
Contemporary Series
Leah and the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli
Rock Chick by Kristen Ashley
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han
Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren
After You by Jojo Moyes
XOXO
I haven’t read The Summer I Turned Pretty and probably won’t because I don’t feel like it’s my kind of book, but I am loving that cover makeover of it. Hope you end up loving it.
I didn’t think any Jenny Han would be my bag either, but then I happened to listen to To All the Boys I Loved Before on a whim, and it surprised me. I figure I’ll have a go at this series too π
Year One was so so good! Different from her usual stuff i feel The second one comes out soon!
I am hoping to catch up for the release of book 2. My dad absolutely loved the first book, so I want to maybe be able to read the second along with him this winter.
I really enjoyed Leah On The Offbeat. I wasn’t the biggest fan of After You or Still Me, but for me, it was hard to follow Me Before You! π
I really enjoyed the other two Albertalli’s I’ve read, especially Upside of Unrequited. I feel bad because I preordered Leah and still haven’t made time for it, ugh.
I have started After You a few times and feel the same way. I’m not sure how anything can live up to Me Before you, but someday, I’m going to give it a solid effort before I check them off the list π
Even though I know they’re sob-worthy reads, someday I’d like to read “Me Before You” (Jojo Moyes) because of the film (which I’ve held off watching for the purpose of reading the book). Also, I adore “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,” so I need to finish that series, and read Jenny’s ‘Summer’ trio. Happy reading! π

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before was definitely the strongest of the bunch, but it was nice to follow along with Lara Jean for a bit. The series went a different direction that I would have assumed just from the first book.
Me Before You, the book was sobby, the movie was sobbier. Really very lovely though.
I’m like you. If I find an author I like, I’ll read everything I can find by them. Sometimes a book sneaks past me without me hearing about it for a while though.

I can’t help myself, I go down a crazy rabbit hole most of the time and don’t come up for air until I’ve finished their complete works. Since most of these are series, I usually get it in my head to wait until they’re finished, or they’re so daunting with double digits installments already out.
The Summer I Turned Pretty has such a stunning book cover!!!
Really does have a lovely cover on the newer editions. I’ll take minimalist and pretty over random teenagers any day π
I need to get to Leah on the Offbeat as well!
After You was also a beautiful story. It went ways I never expected it to.

Great post! I really want to read the Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy by Jenny Han as well π I hope we like it when we get to it! Happy Reading!

Thanks! I am holding out for my library to buy them before I start, but definitely looking forward to them in the nearish future!
I’m surprised at a few of these because you’re right, you do have a tendency to read anything and everything once you find a good author. π Lord of the Fading Lands.. Beautiful Bastard… you gonna pick Radiance for your first Draven? And we should buddy up on Year One soon.

Sissy just treated me to the Fading Lands (since I got her hooked on Winter King). Beautiful Bastard I intend to be my gift to myself as soon as I get my first paycheck at that fancy job π
And I looooove Phoenix Unbound so much that I don’t really know where to start next with Draven. I think Radiance because of how I see it pop up on lists, and because it’s simply fewer installments than Master of Crows and I’m a lazy bitch lol.
You + Me + Year One…no later than November. I want to read Year Two (or whatever it’s called) along with my pops for his birthday!
I was really excited about YEAR ONE when it came out. After reading it, though … meh. I wasn’t impressed. I hope you enjoy it, though, as well as all the other books on your list.
Happy TTT!
I’ve had some reservations which is why I haven’t picked it up sooner, but I’m excited for a little apocalypse from Nora.
Oh fun! I have so much of Christina Lauren’s backlist to get through, too, and they just keep writing more! Send more time! Year One was honestly creepy. I love apocalypse novels, and Nora pulled zero punches killing off the whole world. Then took her usual nice Nora ending and twisted the hell out of it. I thought it was a refreshing new direction and loved it.
Every week, you make me so excited for something that has been on my TBR for ages. Year One is moving to the front of the list, along with Wayfarers! π
Okay, so After You wasn’t great. But Still Me was really good, so I encourage you to power through if you feel you don’t like After You as much!
Wow you are lucky, even with authors I really love there seems to be some books I haven’t read yet!

I haven’t read any of these, but I have a friend who has read several Ilona Andrews books and recommends them. Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.
While I enjoyed some parts of After You, but compared to Me Before You it fell so flat and sort of ruined some of the magic of the first book for me. I hope you enjoy it more than I did!
I need to read Leah, too. Itβs cool that you keep up with your favorite authors. I tend to get distracted by other authors, and then suddenly my favorites have published 5 books that I havenβt read yet.

I’m still waiting on my audiobook hold for Leah to show up at the library. π
I hope we’ll both enjoy!
